MaxClarity Review
Max Clarity is an acne treatment product that bills itself as the world’s first and only anti-acne fighting foam. It is a massage in and leave on face foam system that is to be used twice a day. According to the site 2 out of 3 users see significant improvement in their acne within one or two weeks and that their acne is usually cleared within 8-12 weeks. This product is made by Glaxo Smith Kline.
Ingredients:
The official website lists no ingredients for MaxClarity, though other sites state that it contains Benzoyl peroxide and other ingredients that are found in almost all anti-acne treatment products. If this product does not contain any other ingredients other than those that are found in other such products, one would expect it to be no more or no less effective than all the other acne products on the market. While putting it in foam form may make it appear somewhat different, it seems like MaxClarity is the same old / same old with a new look and twist.
Concerns
The Max Clarity acne treatment has received several complaints and has a BBB rating of F. While this rating does not have anything to do with the effectiveness of the product, it does have a great deal to do with how trustworthy a company is. It would seem that this company is not at all concerned with customer satisfaction or answering complaints made against it’s way of doing business. Such a poor rating can’t help but make one wonder if the manufacturer of MaxClarity foam really even cares if the product does what it claims to do.
Reviews
The reviews on MaxClarity are not particularly favorable. While there are a few good reviews to be found claiming this product works, most reviews claim that it lacks as an effective acne treatment. In addition, most people don’t like the fact that by trying this product, they are subject to being sent the product monthly and billed for it. Considering this acne product is supposed to have a 60 day free trial, one would think that no further products would be sent simply because someone decided to try this product. Such is not the case. The free trial is simply an advertising ploy in which the company uses the trial product to send you repeated orders for which they charge nearly $30.00 a month. Ironically, some of the BBB complaints surrounding Max Clarity acne treatment are people who are promised a refund, but have a difficult time getting that refund.
Conclusion
Although this MaxClarity acne treatment does come in a new form, that of a foam, it has the same exact ingredients as other acne treatments that have been proven ineffective in the past. In addition, this company seems to be lacking in customer service and has many complaints waged against it with the BBB making it a less than trustworthy company to deal with. For those reasons, consumers might be better off trying a product that at least promises to be more effective at clearing acne and that has a better trust index than the Max Clarity acne product seems to have.

Comments on MaxClarity Review
I have tried Max Clarity and it was the only thing that worked for me, I had tried everything from home remedies to proactive
I started using this product 2 years ago, at 37 years of age, and it is the best product I have ever used. I had adult acne beginning in my 20s, and this product has been magic. Use it as directed and you shouldn’t have any problems
I’ve suffered from severe acne throughout all my teenage years, now at 21 years old i’ve used maxclarity for a year. This is the only product that has worked me. I’ve used every single product in stores as well as proactive and none of them worked. I was also seeing a dermatologist but it became much too expensive for a lot of pain, time, and effort which yielded little results.
What type of skin did u had? because i have blackheads and oily skin and i just want to know will it work for me.
I ordered set of MaxClarity, but was unable to use them very much due to malfunction of the cap where it broke after only several use, I had to throw them away as a result. I shipped bach the first bottle that broke and the customer representative told me that it would be replaced, but, it has been three months, I have not seen my replacement. It was waste of money & time trying this products.
I am over 45 years old and still suffered sever problems with acne and oily skin.
I absolutely love, love, love, LOVE MaxClairty. I have tried every acne product available since I was a teenager at every price range possible $ to $$$ and have never had good results. My face USE to be excessively oily within one hour of putting on my make up. Now with MaxClarity, my face is oil free throughout the day. It has also eliminated acne breakout, especially around the menstrual time. I have not seen a huge difference in the size of my pores from the product, but recommend a good mask 2/3 times a week.
I understand MaxClarity is replacing the cap on the containers as they malfunction and this has happened to three of my containers, but I called and received credit. I ordered the six month supply and will absolutely order again soon…hopefully they will have the container replaced by then!!!
I don’t think MaxClairty removes all of the makeup so I use Trade Joe’s facial cleanser in the evening to remove my makeup and apply MaxClairty toner in the evening and my face is oily free the entire night until I wash it in the morning!
I usually use a good moisturizer after I use the mask and also use an under eye cream, but since my face has always been so oily, I have minimal wrinkles…at least there was one positive out of having oily skin for the last 20+ years!
It would be great if MaxClarity would add sunscreen to the product (day use). Everyone should apply sunscreen daily. If it is not in your product, please be sure to use it.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT IF YOU SUFFER FROM ACNE & OILY SKIN!
Thank you MaxClarity!!!
@Sue Huang:
In regards to your concern Sue Huang, if you check their website you will discover that they are working on a more efficient dispenser cap at the moment to fix the very problem your complaining about, hence they put a hold on your replacement order. Hope this helps and as a Max Clarity user you will not be disappointed with the results when you finally get to use the system!
In case anyone needs to know Max Clarity’s company Stiefel has other products. So if you are like me and freaking out about Max Clarity not selling the product right now I would recommend going on the Stiefel site and looking around. Today I went to Wal Mart and purchased the Pan Oxyl 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Foaming Wash so I’ll see how that works. While I was there I noticed Wal Mart also had a product called Acne Free and it is in a bottle that resembles Max Clarity. There are 3 steps (like Max Clarity). I bought the cleanser since I have plenty of the two other bottles of Max Clarity. I just wanted to help anyone out that may need it. Good luck!!
Okay…I absolutely love MaxClarity! It’s the only thing that has worked for my skin. I’ve tried so many others including dermatologist recommendations & nothing worked! The Acne Free is no good from Wal-Mart. Had to take it back. Since the Deep Cleanser VersaFoam Technology (Light Blue top)and Advanced Acne Treatment Versafoam Technology (Dark Blue top) have been put on hold, my skin has went back to the horrible mess it was before using the product. I am so in miserable. I am patiently waiting but I am willing to try something comparable to MaxClarity. And ideas???
Have you thought about giving Exposed Skin Care a try?
As far as the product itself I loved maxclarity. I have suffered from acne since I was a teenager and tried anything and everything to clear up my acne but nothing has worked like maxclarity. The product is good but the company and customer service is AWFUL!! I saw some transactions on my bank account and I called customer service the representative was rude and gave me the run around, finally they gave me a refund but it was a bad experience. If they sold this product in stores I would totally purchase it again but I would not trust this company with automatic payments ever again.
I have had a very negative experience with MaxClarity. Firstly, it took months for my 2nd shipment to arrive because they were having a problem with their bottle’s functionality. I ordered the initial 2 month shipment (buy one get one free) and thought I’d try it for the full 12 weeks to see if I had any improvement in my skin. (I didn’t want to be one of those people that expects a miracle, overnight cure so I wanted to give it a full 12 weeks).
Well not only did I have to wait almost 3 months to get my 2nd shipment, the product itself wrecked my skin. To the point where my skin was flaking off because it was so dry. I might have been able to deal with that if it had actually improved my acne, but it didn’t.
I finally called them to request a refund (like the promise all over their website) and had to wait an additional 3 months before they finally issued a partial refund. I have never had an experience like this! They should stop playing with their website content and start improving their product! They are certainly spending a lot of money on advertising! I saw their infomercial on TV the other day. Scam! I entered a complaint with the BBB.
This is the only thing that works for my oily blackhead ridden skin after using the product my blackheads cleared up in two weeks I was not expecting that even around that time of month they did not flare up again as they did with proactiv now that the product has been on hold my skin is back
I didn’t have any transaction problems.but I do have one question if it has the same ingredients as other products why does it work better? And with every product it doesnt work for every one.that being said proactiv works for my mom but did nothing for me.yes it does leave your skin quite dry but when I put lotion on my skin doesn’t become so oily that my face is shiny.
I notice in your review, you commented that you had dry skin…..did you have dry skin prior to using the product? How dry is your skin? What type of lotion do you use?
Just wanted to let everyone know that they are once again selling Max Clarity. This has been the only product that worked for my daughters acne/blackheads. When they stopped selling it, her skin got really bad again. Now that they are selling it again, she’s 6 weeks into using it and her skin is not clearing up. I hope they only changed the nozzle, and not the formula. She’s going to give it a little more time before she gives up on it.
Max Clarity was the only thing that worked to clear up my skin. I’ve suffered from acne for years, and this was the only thing that worked. It totally got rid of all the pimples, but not only that, it also lightened up all the dark spots left behind by past acne. My face was super clear and flawless. It was amazing. I was getting compliments on my skin every time I left my house, and I’d never had that before. Sadly, after they took it off the market, my skin went back to the way it was before.
I have not reordered yet, but the comment above has me worried. I hope it works just as well for me as it did the first time. :/ Just a side note: My best friend (who has the same skin problems as I do) used this product, and it just didn’t work for her. It just goes to show you, not everything will work for everybody. Just because it doesn’t work for you does not mean that the product is crap, or that it wont work for everyone.
I will admit that I did not have severe acne and figured that this would be perfect since I didn’t have a serious problem. It had seemed that my skin was progressively getting worse so I wanted to kind of stop that. I tried Max Clarity for a full sixty days and even considered continuing with the product but as I came close to my last week with this product I realized my face had not become better at all. It was the same from the first day. I ended up going to the doctor getting a prescription in which I saw results in a week. Figuring… this product does not work. I tried to retured the unopened second shipment I received but was told by two customer service reps “you sound like a nice person, but sorry we do not do returns…” I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told both times that I would receive a phone call. Lets just say I never got that. If it didn’t work on my mild acne I can’t imagine it working on someone who has a serious problem?
