Clean and Clear Review

The clean and clear acne cleanser is a 3-part system that claims to fight acne and create beautiful clear skin by using their formula. This acne kit consists of an acne control cleanser, a facial moisturizer, and a spot treatment that’s supposed to work fast to remove problem zits quickly.

The Clean and Clear acne system was developed by Johnson and Johnson. This company is widely known across the word for creating a variety of different skin care products that have been seen in infomercials and you local stores for years. The company claims that clinical trials have been done on the clean and clear acne system to prove how well it works, but we couldn’t seem to find the results of this clinical study to verify the results.

How Does Clean and Clear Work?

These acne control cleanserprimarily use benzoyl peroxide as their main ingredient. Unfortunately, this ingredient can be harsh on the skin and there are negative side effects associated with it. The side effects of benzoyl peroxide are mainly dryness and irritation of the skin.

The second component of the Clean and Clear system (moiturizer) mainly uses salicylic acid is its active ingredient. This ingredient is widely known as an effective ingredient, and works to help clear acne blemishes on the skin. It also helps remove dead skin cells and reduce oil production on the skin.

The third component in the Clean and Clear system is the acne spot treatment. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to tell what the main ingredient is inside of this treatment. They claim that the acne spot treatment works really fast to clear pimples, but no evidence or documentation supports their claims. Therefore, it’s hard to say whether or not the acne spot treatment is effective or not.

Advantages

1. The Clean and Clear web site has many different acne cleansing products to choose from.
2. The prices on this acne treatment are very reasonable
3. Many of the clean and clear products can be found in your local store

Disadvantages

1. There are no customer reviews or testimonials on the company’s web site. We did find a public forum with a dozen customer reviews, but unfortunately, 8 out of the 12 weren’t satisfied with Clean and Clear.
2. They don’t list all of the ingredients found inside of their acne treatments on their web site. This brings up a red flag to our attention. Why would they try to hide their ingredients?
3. Their main component (acne cleanser) contains the harsh ingredient Benzoyl Peroxide. Almost all of the over the counter cleansers contain this same ingredient, which is why most people never really experience good results with these types of products.

Clean and Clear Review Conclusion

Overall, there is nothing that really separates clean-and-clear from the other acne treatments available on the market. There’s no special or spectacular ingredients that aren’t already found in every single other acne product available. In our opinion, there are much better acne treatment options you should consider before Clean and Clear.
